Am very sad that I just had to cancel 2 more opportunities to meet with veterans & military families, share experiences with them, and thank them for their service that protects all of us.
Two weeks ago I had a knee replacement (OUCH!), and am finding recovery a bit slower than I imagined. I’d been putting it off for months, then a good friend said, “Ah, don’t be such a sissy. Ain’t no big deal!” So I decided OK, I’m tough. I can do this.
I did. I am now into the PT “healing” part of it. Several more weeks to go then I’ll be all set. Question: If you all noticed I had a bow leg, why on earth didn’t anyone tell me?” Jeesh, like smiling with a piece of spinach stuck between your front teeth.
Anyhow~ I’ll be out & about soon, with one very straight leg, looking forward to meeting you!
Hi Sally, it is always serious when muscles and tendons are damaged.
The anesthesia alone is enough to foul one out for weeks. You hang in there and get well!! Tell that person who called you sissy to kiss where the sun doesn’t shine. On our prayers for quick painless recovery. John and Wanda Goodpaster
Thank you so much! I’m not as patient as I like to think I am! Such fun hearing from you all! Trust all’s well!
