S. D. Sawyer has been invited to attend the magazine Celebrate Gettysburg’s Behind the Cover event to be held on Wednesday, November 14, 2012, from 5-7 p.m. at the Adams County Arts Council Arts Education Center in Gettysburg, Pa. The gathering of staff, contributors, business owners, readers and advertisers come together to celebrate “the best of the issue,” according to Michael Vyskocil, editor. Sawyer’s novel Prelude to Reveille: A Vietnam Awakening, is featured in November-December’s Celebrate Gettysburg magazine as a tribute to veterans and their families. She and her husband will have a table of mementos from the 1960′s that relate to her book. A new edition of copies of her novel will be available.
